On the occasion of the National Press Day, Nar organized a special event for the media representatives. An entertaining intellectual contest was held with the participation of 58 media representatives from 32 media agencies. 

In his speech, the head of the PR and Corporate Communications department of Nar Aziz Akhundov congratulated media representatives with their professional holiday. He indicated that Nar paid a special attention to relations with media, and thanked the media agencies for their transparent coverage of the mobile operator’s activities and achievements.

12 teams, consisting of 5 members each, have taken part in the contest, which lasted for more than 2 hours. ‘Molla Nasreddin’, ‘Hayat’ and “Shargi-Rus’ teams took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. The winners received valuable presents from Nar.

It should be mentioned that the National Press and Journalism day of the Republic of Azerbaijan is celebrated on 22 of July. This day marks the publishing of the first issue of ‘Ekinchi’ newspaper in the year 1875 by Hasan bey Zardabi, which is considered to be the starting point of history of the national press. Being an operator which keeps the mass media in the constant spotlight, Nar traditionally spent this day together with media representatives.
